Anzu Hoshino, sometimes known as Hoshino Anzu, is the series’ central character. She is a first-year high school student, and her three greatest loves are video games, cats—particularly her pet Momohiki—and chocolate. An extroverted heroine found herself in the middle of a romantic “pentagon” in the opening moments of Romantic Killer, much like in any other over-the-top romance anime. The audience will be astonished to see how the female protagonist’s character develops into something more than just a stereotypical role as the programme goes on, though.

One of the coolest new anime characters this year might be Anzu Hoshino. She is delightfully portrayed in the programme as an anti-heroine, but she possesses all the characteristics of a real heroine, including a strong personality and presence in the narrative.

Appearance

Teenage Anzu has fair skin, a thin body, and is about medium height. Her big, large-set red eyes are framed by bangs that frame the sides of her face, and she has unruly red hair that is pulled back into a ponytail.

She wears a white collared shirt, a blue colored skirt with pale blue striped trim, knee-length dark blue socks, and red and white sneakers as part of her school uniform while in class.

When she is not at school, she frequently sports cat-related clothing (such as shirts with cat faces on them), but after going shopping with Kazuki, she now makes an effort to dress more formally when she goes out with other people, sometimes even donning makeup.

Personality

Anzu is a sensible, direct, and incredibly kind individual who can’t abandon her friends in times of need. She gives little thought to what other people think of her and always acts in accordance with her personal sense of right and wrong.

After being coerced into using a real dating simulator, Anzu Hoshino decides to make killing romance her life’s work. Anzu is the ideal embodiment of all otaku girls who prefer to focus on their hobbies and pursuits over drooling over gorgeous men.

She’s not into high school romance and would go to any lengths to avoid a potential relationship with a strange guy. One of the best romance anime of 2022 features a girl who wears a huge “No Dating” sign on her head, which is ironic and humorous at the same time.

Anzu’s ability to become the show’s most adored character without the help of a male protagonist is what makes her so endearing.

Although Hoshino may not be interested in romance, she is unquestionably the person to turn to in a crisis. Anzu was quite critical of Riri for throwing random attractive men at her, but she never harboured any ill will towards them.

Anzu is a simple young woman who prefers the otaku lifestyle over traditional love clichés. Even though she shared a roof with two incredibly handsome guys, she could care less about how she looked because she has her games, her cat, and her chocolate. Anzu Hoshino might have made the ideal adolescent Narumi from Wotakoi.
